Visa

Cambodian Tourist Visas cost $20 and are valid for 30 days.

You will need one passport photo, and CASH – US dollars to pay for the Visa.

Visas on Arrival are available at Phnom Penh international airport and Siem Reap international airport.

You can also obtain a Cambodian visa on arrival at the following entry points:

Cambodia-Vietnam border:
Bavet (Svay Rieng Province)
Kha Orm Sam Nor (Kandal Province)
Koh Rohka (Prey Veng Province)

Cambodia-Thailand border:
Cham Yeam (Koh Kong Province)
Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey Province)
Osmach (Odor Meanchey Province)

You can cross into Cambodia from Laos but it may not be possible to get a Visa on arrival- you may need to obtain a Cambodian visa in advance from Bangkok or Vientiane.

Passport holders from the Philippines and Malaysia do not need a tourist visa and can stay in Cambodia for 21 and 30 days respectively.
If you overstay your Cambodian Visa you will be fined $5 per day.

A tourist visa can be extended once only for 30 days- the easiest way is to let your guesthouse or tour guide process the extension for you, the fee will be about $40, and your passport will be back with your extension in a day or so.

If you are planning to work or look for work in Cambodia, you should apply for a business Visa for $25 for one month. If you have enough cash, your business visa can be extended virtually indefinitely.

There is no need to prove that you have a job in Cambodia when you apply so it’s possible to arrive on a business visa then look for a job. The official fee for business visa extensions are one month -$20, three months- $60, six months -$100 and twelve months -$150, however your passport can be held for up to a month, and the amount of paperwork will make your head spin. Unless you have an employer to arrange all this for you, it is highly recommended that you let your guesthouse or tour agent handle your Cambodian visa extension. All you need is one visa photo, your guesthouse handles the paperwork and your extension should be ready in a few days. This will cost a little more than the official fee, about $40 for one month, $70 for three months, $140 for six months and up to $280 for a year.
